The Reversible Cross Pendant is suitable for intermediate to advanced beaders and those with knowledge of tubular peyote stitch, stepping up, zipping and brick stitch. This tutorial does not contain basic instructions for peyote or brick stitch.
It is another design in my unique technique using a modified, diagonal tubular peyote stitch. The 19 page, step-by-step tutorial contains all the instructions and photos you will need to make your own version with tips, as well as check lists for all tools, materials and techniques needed.
This reversible cross is worked in modified, tubular peyote stitch using size 11 cylinder beads and measures approximately 50mm.high by 40mm. wide without the bail. The bail is brick stitched. You could use size 15 seed beads for a more petite version.
I developed my own technique using peyote stitch to make a range of reversible designs which are very wearable, versatile and durable pieces of jewellery.
I love to encourage individuals who make beadwork so please feel free to use anything you make from these instructions as gifts but please credit me with the design.
I hope you enjoy making some and have fun wearing them.
